Two properties, two kinds of information
Conductivity concerns the movement of charge through a material. Relative permittivity describes how the material affects an electric field. A conductive level electrode and an electronic capacitance-related point switch do not necessarily rely on the same property in the same way.
Why medium data needs context
Values may change with composition, frequency and temperature. A single number copied from a generic table may not describe an actual formulation or a partly mixed process stream. Provide the original measurement conditions if you have laboratory data.
For an application inquiry, precise product identification plus a representative test is often more useful than an unsupported electrical-property estimate.
Do not infer a universal ranking
Low conductivity does not automatically rule out an electronic point switch. High conductivity does not automatically make a conductive electrode the best choice. Mounting, residue, cleaning, control task and approvals remain part of the decision. Use property data to narrow candidates, then verify the process states the controller must distinguish.
What to confirm for your application
- Exact sensing principle
- Measured property and test conditions
- Composition and temperature variation
- Wet residue and cleaning-liquid properties
- Evidence for the selected product family
