Selection overview
| Item | What to confirm |
|---|---|
| Generation | LBFS and LBFS-2 must be specified separately. |
| Configuration | Confirm process connection, switching outputs, cable and approvals. |
| Media review | Compare covered, dry and drained-residue states. |
| Documents | Use the current datasheet for the complete order code. |
Build an application-specific specification
Do not copy electrical features or approvals between generations. For a replacement, begin with a photograph of the original label and the installation drawing. Compare insertion length, seal location, output circuit, switching polarity and startup behavior.
Technical reference and scope
For example, the manufacturer page for LBFS-01521.0 identifies a PNP output, configurable NO/NC logic and ±1 mm repeatability. These details identify that particular configuration and are not a specification for every LBFS or LBFS-2.
Complete the package
Confirm the sensor, process adapter, seal, cable and any interface or programming accessories in one bill of materials. Ask for the current dimensional drawing and the exact documents needed for your plant. Accessories and approvals are not automatically included.
Before an order is released
- Confirm the complete manufacturer order code, not only the family name.
- Verify medium compatibility and simultaneous operating limits.
- Agree on the output behavior and commissioning record.
- Identify the required material, hygiene or hazardous-area documentation.
