Look for separation from the empty state
Electronic point sensing needs a distinguishable response between relevant states. A small electrical change near the tip leaves less margin for product variation, residue and installation effects. Check the manufacturer’s medium requirement for the exact sensor family rather than assuming every electronic switch has the same capability.
Use realistic composition and temperature
A trade name alone may describe several formulations. Ask for concentration, additives and expected temperature range. If the medium can absorb moisture or change composition during production, include those conditions in the review.
A bench test should use the intended mounting arrangement when the vessel or adapter affects the sensing field. Keep a record of the empty condition as well as the immersed result.
Do not transfer a Baumer limit to Lisen
The supplied Baumer LBFS reference mentions a dielectric requirement. The supplied Lisen manual does not establish the same numerical threshold. They are separate products and should be evaluated independently. If adequate switching margin cannot be demonstrated, assess another principle or installation location.
What to confirm for your application
- Exact medium and formulation
- Dielectric information if available
- Operating temperature and moisture range
- Model-specific medium requirement
- Measured or demonstrated wet/dry margin
