Describe each cleaning phase
Record pre-rinse, chemical circulation, final rinse and any sterilization step that applies. Include concentration, flow conditions, temperature peaks and exposure duration. A brief permitted peak should not be interpreted as continuous service at that temperature.
Review the whole assembly
The sensing tip may tolerate a condition that the seal or connector does not. Hygienic suitability also depends on the matched process fitting and installation. Check how the assembly drains and whether heat can reach the electronics beyond their ambient limit.
Do not infer SIP suitability solely from a catalogue’s largest temperature number. Confirm the exact configuration and any required projection length or cooling arrangement.
Test the operational sequence
Define how the controller interprets cleaning liquid and transitional states. Verify that the sensor returns correctly to the intended production state after the cycle. Preserve the approved cleaning envelope so later changes in chemical concentration or temperature receive a corresponding sensor review.
What to confirm for your application
- Cleaning chemistry and concentration
- Peak temperature, pressure and duration
- Exact sensor/adapter/seal configuration
- Signal interpretation during cleaning
- Post-cycle reset and change-control requirements
