Translate the user requirement into evidence
State the control task, materials, surface or connection requirements and required documentation. Identify whether the sensor contacts product, cleaning fluid or a utility. The same sensor family may contain several constructions with different supporting documents.
Control configuration and change
Record the complete order code, drawings, parameter settings and firmware information where applicable. A replacement with a similar body or connector may change the electrical response or cleaning interface. Review changes through the site’s established qualification process.
A material certificate is supporting evidence for a material. It should not be represented as validation of the complete manufacturing process or proof of compliance with every site requirement.
Design a meaningful test
Define acceptable states and transitions before commissioning. Include the process and cleaning extremes that the sensor will experience. Where critical control depends on the result, obtain the appropriate engineering and quality review instead of relying on a generic demonstration video.
What to confirm for your application
- Product-contact and utility boundaries
- Documentation and qualification requirements
- Cleaning or sterilization envelope
- Configuration/change-control record
- Defined acceptance criteria
