The right answer depends on the duty
A tank high-level alarm may need a different response to foam than a transfer-pump permissive. Fermentation conditions, carbonation and product transitions can introduce bubbles or foam at the sensor. Define whether those states should be treated as covered, uncovered or an exception.
Include cleaning in the specification
The sensor sees more than beer or water. Cleaning chemicals, rinse sequences and temperature peaks belong in the inquiry. Verify the complete hygienic connection and material compatibility for the intended process.
A neat stainless steel installation image is useful for understanding the arrangement, but it is not evidence of a completed brewery reference or a qualified cleaning result.
Test realistic transitions
Include filling, draining, a pause with residue and the cleaning cycle. Record any delay used to suppress brief fluctuations. If the system changes between products or operating modes, confirm that the settings remain suitable or define how verified configurations are selected.
What to confirm for your application
- Liquid or foam detection objective
- Carbonation and turbulence
- Cleaning chemistry and peak conditions
- Drainage after transfer
- Configuration across operating modes
