Start with the area classification
Obtain the required classification and environmental conditions from the responsible engineer. Gas and dust applications are not interchangeable. Confirm the product marking, permitted ambient conditions and any special conditions of use against the intended location.
Match documents to the order code
The supplied Baumer CCC document identifies a defined LBFS family and options. Its existence is not evidence that all Baumer sensors or any Lisen sensor have the same approval. Verify current validity and the scope for the actual configuration.
For intrinsically safe systems, associated equipment and the complete circuit require a qualified compatibility review. Do not copy a barrier choice from an old example without checking the applicable documentation.
Keep procurement and commissioning aligned
Include the required certificate and marking in the purchase specification. At receipt, match the nameplate, order code and supplied documents. Installation and testing should follow the approved design and current manufacturer instructions. Any substitution must return to that review rather than being treated as a routine mechanical replacement.
What to confirm for your application
- Approved area classification
- Exact order code and nameplate marking
- Current certificate and special conditions
- Associated equipment where required
- Competent installation and acceptance review
