Create a controlled bill of materials
List the exact sensor code, process adapter, seal and cable assembly. Include drawings showing installed depth and connector clearance. State which parts the sensor supplier provides and which belong to the machine builder.
If alternative brands are allowed, evaluate them against the same functional requirement rather than describing them as interchangeable solely by thread and voltage.
Make electrical integration repeatable
Record the PLC input type, output logic and expected state table. Define any delays in one controlled document. Where parameterization is required, preserve the settings and a method to verify them on replacement units.
Include acceptance and service needs
Specify the factory test, label or tag information, required documents and packing. Ask for a spare-parts strategy and the lead time for configured variants. For a skid exported to several destinations, approval requirements may differ; keep those requirements tied to the destination-specific build.
What to confirm for your application
- Complete bill of materials
- Installation and wiring drawings
- Controlled configuration and truth table
- Factory acceptance test
- Destination-specific documentation and spare strategy
