Describe three operating phases
Create separate entries for production, cleaning and standby. For each, state minimum and maximum process temperature, pressure including vacuum, duration and external ambient conditions. Add any jacket, insulation or nearby heat source that changes the temperature at the sensor electronics. The highest process temperature may occur during cleaning while production is comparatively mild.
Check the installed thermal path
Specify insertion, extension or cooling-neck geometry exactly as the relevant drawing requires. If a mounting option relies on distance between the hot process and the electronics, enclosing that distance in insulation can change its behavior. Review the actual arrangement instead of selecting the longest-looking sensor from a picture.
Use a documented combination of limits
The supplied 2018 LBFS reference gives a sliding hygienic configuration with a high-temperature allowance subject to projection length and ambient conditions. It is not a basis for combining that temperature with the highest pressure of a different industrial connection. LFFS is another portfolio route to investigate for high-temperature work, and it requires its own applicable documentation.
Similarly, a requested high-temperature Lisen construction is a separate configuration to confirm. Keep its drawing and pressure/temperature evidence attached to the quotation; do not extend the standard version’s limits by assumption.
Review the whole assembly and the abnormal case
Seals, adapters, connectors and cables also need compatible ratings and materials. Ask what happens during an interrupted cleaning cycle or extended exposure beyond the normal duration. Distinguish the normal process envelope from fault or upset conditions that require the system to shut down.
For procurement, request written confirmation of the offered order code against the completed duty table. If the supplier confirms only a single maximum temperature, the combined requirement remains unresolved.
What to confirm for your application
- Production, cleaning and standby duty table
- Pressure and temperature occurring at the same time
- Ambient exposure, insulation and installation geometry
- Seal, adapter, connector and cable requirements
- Written confirmation for the exact offered configuration
